“Sarah Palin, small-town hockey mom and everywoman? More like Sarah Palin, pampered princess. Jeanne Cummings at Politico reports that the RNC’s monthly financial disclosure reports reveal that the Republican National Committee has spent tens of thousands of dollars on the vice presidential candidate's wardrobe and accessories since she was nominated, including $150,000 in September alone. …”
That money for her wardrobe came from the campaign contributions. Wow, so I wonder if the contributors would give so much if they knew it was going toward $5.000.00 for hair and makeup and 100,00.00 on clothes and shoes for Palin?

Good and Evil
If you just sit still and contemplate all the injustice and evil in the world you can sink into a deep depression with little help on any horizon. Rapes in the Congo Starvation of children in many underdeveloped countries, exploitation of peoples by money hungry developers and energy corporations, Buying up the water in a country ad selling it back to the people who previously had the same water free as a God given right, oppression of the indigenous peoples all over the globe. War and hatred everywhere you turn.
Sometimes I am so lost in the slime and muck of the evi101l in this world I can’t breathe. When will we humans behave as if we loved our Gods and deities? Where are peace and love and justice?????
My Linda says, Hey do not dis the beauty of the world it also is all around at every turn. She also warns me not to close my eyes to the peace, love and justice that do exist often side by side with the evils I spoke of.
She is right that brings us to one of the great mysteries of this life, evil and good co-exists.

Debate
This is my take on Palin’s debate performance. She did better than I expected. Howver,
She spoke in folksy platitudes. She dodged questions. She showed little grasp of the issues and a dangerous tendency to view things in black and white. I thought Biden won but Palin did recapture her image. And that’s a win for her.
Her tendency to view things as black and white is very danderous. That tendency is what got Bush in so much trouble.

Very Nervous
Yesterday I was asked if I thought Obama might be assassinated prior to or after the election. Suddenly I realized that that was a real possibility and became very nervous. I was then asked if I thought there might be riots like after the King assaination. The social environment today is unlike that at the time of MLK's assination. I don't think there would be rioting but it is a real possiblity. If not riots there would profound sadness and a loss of faith in the system. We could not "keep hope alive." I wish the question were never asked. It made me very nervous and extremely concerned.
I am Back
Sorry there were no recent posting. Unfortunately I have been very sick. Severe lung infection and in my legs I had shaking, trembling and a sudden loss of feeling in my legs. So it took awhile before I could walk. But today my lung capacity is near normal for me. And my Legs are working weakly. But they are working. I am grateful no matter how weak.
We had a very sad and serious predicament in the family. My son Kelton Clark’s father-in-law was very ill. He had terminal cancer and serious body trauma from and accident. He passed from life on Sept 26, 2008.
