Is There Anything New Uder The sun?

I often find myself wondering if there is anything new for me to do, to see, or to experience or to enjoy. After all I am just three month away from being 76 years old. We as humans seem to forever have the same problems or desires that we always had. They may come wrapped in different colors but they remain the same. Our responses vary culturally but even those are the same. We just give them different names. Wow is it true? If you live long enough all life is boring? I wonder. I do know that my love for others changes, as I grow older. It becomes deeper and more meaningful. I discover that it is about giving love and less about receiving love. Oh yes receiving love is very important but it feels empty if your not giving love. One of my greater joys is waking up and discovering a new depth or meaning to the love for my wife and family.

Speaking of growing older I leave on the 23rd for Atlanta, Ga. to attend my 27-year-old granddaughter’s wedding. She is the first of her generation to get married. I sure it will be great fun time.

I had a spinal tap today. Contrary to the films and TV it was completely painless. The risks and side effects were minimal. Yes they are still searching for the reason there is damage to my spinal column in the Thoracic area of my spine. I hope they find out soon. The symptoms are becoming debilitating.

My best friend Keith’s birthday is the 18th. Linda and I are taking him and his boyfriend to dinner Friday. Any suggestions were we should go?

Yes I know it has been a long time since my last post. I have very busy keeping my soul here with my body. It keeps wanted to fly away to God knows where.
