P-Town

I am mentally better and so is Linda. My health is still on the edge. I still have a terrible headache. I had a small seizure this morning and I am still having trouble walking. I tried swimming today. I was doing find until I had a severe asthma attack from the cold water. I am so tired of my health stopping me from enjoying myself. No wonder depression is Major problem among the elderly.

We are in P-Town and are having fun dispite my depression. The drive here was great we turned a 40 min. drive into a 6 hour drive by taking the back roads and visiting beaches and eating joints. We loved the many towns that were so small they did not have chain stores or fast food joints. It was a great experience. On the returned trip we use different back roads. It will be great.

Bad Vacation

I cannot imagine a worst vacation. Linda has a moody defensive angry attitude, and the rain almost never ends. I am moody, sad, in constant pain cross, terrible nightmares, two seizures and a possible urinary track infection. There are some bright spots like visiting my sister or being with my other siblings. But most of the time I am over whelming sad or frustrated. I seem to break into a crying jag over anything. In addition to my poor health is at it's worst. I have a constant headache and I am in continuous pain from my joints and back. Perhaps worst of all I have terrible flash backs that last for all day and night.

Cape Cod

We’re vacationing in the lovely little town of Onset Massachusetts. Well, we’re actually staying in Buzzards Bay, at the Buttermilk Bay Inn. We’ve come to this area for years to enjoy the great weather, beaches and people. Buzzards Bay is 3 minutes from Onset “where every one knows our name.” The food is great there. And usually the weather is perfect. But this trip we hit a rainy patch. So we’ve spent more time exploring the cape and just taking it easy than laying on the beach. Have you ever been to the Sandwich Glass Museum? We have. And we saw Harry Potter at the Cape Cod Mall. After all these years, who knew there was a mall? We’ve spent good times with Barbara and Harry. Harry is planning a birthday bash for Carl on Sunday. He’s making his world famous lobster, Barbara will be home for the event and Sidney is coming up to join the festivities.

Well, we’re right on the bay, so if the sun comes out we’re ready. Monday we head to Provincetown for a few days. There, we stay right on the ocean. It’s a party town. The change of pace will be nice – rain or shine.

Vacation Days

July 16 2009

Well here I am on vacation and it’s raining, cool and grey. Unfortunately I am grey as well. I arrived on the Cape not feeling well and got steadily worse. My heart rate zooms out of control up as high as 140 just by getting up from sitting or taking two steps. I am constantly nauseous and my sense of taste is completely out of whack. I am cranky and out of sorts. But I have begun work on my attitude. After all, I am alive and on vacation with my love. So what’s not to like?

I visited my sister Barbara. She is in a wonderful nursing home. Her room has a large bay window with great views of the lake and grounds. The nursing home sits on a hill over looking over a serene lake with a lovely rolling lawn with beautiful lovely grass and foliage. She seems happy and has made lots of friends and the staff seems to enjoy her. She has Alzheimer but she is jut as pleasant, loving and tolerant of others as she always has been. Linda and I enjoyed the time with her.

Today the sky is blue and the Sun is brilliant. My mood is good and I feel much better. The nauseous feeling has abated. We ate lunch at a fabulous restaurant in Sandwich. Sandwich is a small town on Cape Cod. However the meal was as good as you would get in any gourmet restaurant in any Large City including the food Mecca like

New York, (I will write more about the meal later.) We returned tour Inn and sat in the very cold clear water of Buttermilk bay and cooled of.

July 18

We are off to see my Sister Barbara again. After the visit who knows what we will do? We try not to plan our vacation days but just be spontaneous and enjoy what comes our way.

Hi Keith, Patricia, Carl, Kevin, Kelly, Janice, Nolie, Calvin, Christopher, Karen, Lara, Russell, Raquel, Sidney, Harry, Barbara, Amelia, and all my readers around the world.

Today All is Well

Today I feel great and I have a new Iphone 3G. It’s fun and it works very well. Most important for me is it is hearing aid compatible. Right now I am pain free. I have not been pain free in many years. So I praise God.

The family and friends all seem to be doing well. So within my small universe all is well. I wish I could say the same for real world. Unemployment, Iraq, Afghanistan, poverty, immoral leaders and bad economy all combine to make one cringe when the Newspaper is read. But we make changes one-step at a time. Thus, if one compares today with human history we are not doing badly.

I love you and wish you all happiness and success.
